•Starting Problems and Goals: Joe was mainly out of shape, but between family and work didn’t have a lot of time.
•Results – Working with athletes has a lot of advantages but it does have several problems. It becomes vitally important to balance a strenuous workout with their idea of training. We designed a program for Jim that incorporated a lot of basketball specific movements to build a comfort level. The focus then shifted to re-establishing a muscle base and improving his endurance and cardiovascular fitness. Jim came into our sessions still an avid runner. During his time we were able to significantly improve his muscle mass, shave several inches off his mid-section, improve his mile time by over a minute, and provide him with an overall increase in his feeling of well-being.
